Research Interests
Aging
Aging increases the risk of diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and many more. We employ a multifaceted array of experimental models of aging to establish the cellular and biochemical changes that occur during aging. We focus on elucidating the cellular and biochemical signaling mechanisms that lead to neuronal degeneration and brain aging. We also focus on developing anti-aging strategies by using engineered extracellular vesicles.
